Gallery Climate Coalition (GCC)
is an international charity and membership organisation working to reduce the visual arts sector’s environmental impact. Founded in 2020, GCC provides free tools, guidance, and advocacy to support arts organisations, artists, and art-workers in taking meaningful climate action. With over 1,800 members across 60+ countries, GCC’s mission is to cut sector-wide carbon emissions and promote near-zero waste practices, while harnessing the collective influence of its membership to drive systemic change and champion art as a powerful platform for engaging cultural audiences and shaping public discourse around environmental issues.

Teiger Foundation
supports contemporary visual art with a primary focus on curators. It honors the vision of founder David Teiger, who, in his lifetime, championed professionals who pursued their own paths in making exhibitions, leading organizations, conducting research, and pursuing other aspects of curatorial practice. Its program Climate Action for Curators helps curators reduce their environmental impact and enhance climate awareness while executing their Teiger Foundation–funded projects.

Helen Frankenthaler Foundation
upholds the artist’s legacy and supports a new generation of practitioners through philanthropic, educational, and scholarly initiatives. Active since 2013, the Foundation advances exhibitions, scholarship, and partnerships with arts organizations worldwide, and stewards an extensive collection of Frankenthaler’s artwork and personal papers. In 2021, it launched the Frankenthaler Climate Initiative (FCI), a pioneering grantmaking program that provides museums and visual arts institutions with the support and guidance needed to pursue ambitious sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives. FCI funds projects ranging from energy audits and feasibility studies to major infrastructure upgrades, and has awarded over $14 million to more than 200 institutions—underscoring a continued commitment to environmental leadership in the visual arts.
